Misbehaving Again

Moth Quiz 18
Small and wet, its future could be much larger.

Moth Quiz 19
Icarus flew too near to the sun.

I did not ask for the above to appear in red. I've already tried - twice - to change it. I think I'd better go and wash some pots......
Pots and trays done whilst being serenaded by a Garden Warbler. I still haven't seen it, despite it appearing to sing from very nearby.
The vegetable garden planting is virtually complete, Adrian planted the gutters of well-grown peas last Tuesday. Pam has been kept busy watering. We have metered water and always paid for a hose license anyway. Carrying the required amount of water is beyond our capability these days, especially in this long drought.
The wild area at the bottom of the garden is coming along nicely too.

Courgette, peas and beetroot. Space for the broccoli when the plants are ready.

Early and maincrop potatoes
Runner beans, onions and sweetcorn. Raspberries and blueberries on the left.
Moth trapping continues to add new species. Our fifth species of Hawkmoth, the very lovely Elephant Hawkmoth.

It's always good to get a Pug one can identify. A Limespeck Pug.

One of my favourite species, a very smart Alder Moth.
