The planned day's birding ended at Cley Beach Road, before 8.00 a.m. We drove there in driving rain, eyed the navy blue sky and decided to abort. Had enough of getting wet last week. Breakfast at Cromer Morrison's was good.....
Very few House Martins in our village this year. Usually, there are nests on our house, the Hughes' and Sylvia's. I counted 4 birds flying around and ours doesn't seem to be occupied. The White House Swifts are back and a solitary pair of Swallows. 'Our' Garden Warbler, Chiffchaff and Blackcap are still in good voice.
